Complete Shock:
Today was one of those "eh" days: Rain AND thunder, had an 8am class, woke up late, struggled like never before to write a paper ( still in progress), and the dreaded Math 213. I have been struggling with this specific math sequence all year and especially this term. We had a midterm last friday and I studied super hard, went in to the professors office hours and left the test thinking I for sure failed it. So in class today, the Professor says he has our test, and I'm thinking "bring it" because this day couldn't possibly get any worse. Well to my pleasant surprise, I got a 100% on it! So yes, I am going to be one of those annoying students who is going to share with the world my perfect math score!!

Some Much Needed INSPIRATION:
So for those of you who know me, know that I am a christian who is trying to live a life worthy of god every single day. I just talked to one of my very best friends Katie Klezek and just feel so inspired by our talk and by her. We talked about some things that have been on my mind a lot and just thought that I would share.
I sometimes find it very hard to be a christian, especially on a college campus when you are surrounded by people who do not believe in the same thing as you and who just don’t understand why you believe what you believe. Many people often don’t understand why I believe in God because there cant be “a little man up in the sky who controls everything” or that there can not be a God because of things like War and If there is a God, why do bad things happen to good people? Many people believe it is not real since we can’t see Jesus, heaven and hell. There are also just many people who have never been exposed to religion in general, let along faith and God.
I would be lying if I said that I have never doubted my faith before, because I have. I think all christians have at some point or another. Sometimes I begin to wonder the same things that other people around me do. I am not able to see Jesus in human form and there may be not scientific evidence of heaven and hell, however when I take a step back, none of that matters. It doesn’t matter that I can not see Jesus in human form because I see him working through the actions and lives of strangers and people who are close to me who are also seeking to live a life worthy of god. It is indescribable the love that comes from these human beings. You can just tell that there is something different about them and that there is just something greater then themselves working through them to get to me and to all of us.
Something I learned yesterday was that we were not created to walk aimlessly and to be monks in a field. We were created to involve ourselves in relationships with others that will greatly enrich our lives. We were created to serve others and to love others. I know that for me at least, it is my relationships with other christians and my need to serve others that fill me up. I have gone through times in my life where I have just felt so empty and now realize that it was because I had no one pouring into me and more importantly, I was not pouring into anybody else.

Extreme cliche, yet very true in my life. I would not be where I am today if it weren't for all the people that I have surrounded myself with for many years. I have surrounded myself with not the greatest influences before, and I have learned from them. But more importantly the people who are in my life now, I know are in it for a reason and want to thank you all for shaping me into who I am today!
This quote also brings me back to why I started this blog. I learn a great deal from other people and love to hear about other peoples life experiences. I would hope that this blog is useful to family and friends back home, in that this is a way to keep connected with them. I just love sharing my thoughts and experiences with people and hope that people like listening to them :)

Time Flies!
Where did this year go? 8 weeks left of my freshman year? what?!?!? The end of this year is going to be bitter sweet! I am just absolutely on cloud nine right now loving spring term! I don't want it to end! However I can't wait for the summer! Oh to be back in the sun!

Its been a while since my last post (sorry!) Life caught up with me and sadly my blog and my creativity slowed down.
But Im back in Eugene after a much needed spring break spent relaxing with family and friends and visiting my favorite kids at the preschool of course!
These past few days in Eugene could not have been any better!

A Friday to Remember
This weekend was by far the best weekend I have had yet in Eugene: Just a simple weekend hanging out with close friends celebrating a birthday.
Friday was Alexis's Birthday and we all got together to celebrate it in the best way possible.

Birthday Girl!
A trip to Sweet Life, only the best dessert place in Eugene ever! It was so overwhelming walking into this place with every type of dessert imaginable, I was definitely stressin over what I was going to choose.
We probably spent at least 2 hours here, just talking and telling funny stories and enjoying each others company.
Going to the movies and seeing, "I am Number Four" in which we had:
Ashley and Stacey on one end of the row, scared like no other
Kendall and Haley just in awh of everything the movie had to offer
Alexis simply just lovin life
Lauren and I on the end dying of laughter at the corniness and cheesiness of the movie.
I think we could all agree though that "Number Four" can make one good lookin' Alien.
Blasting Justin Beiber in the car and singing to it at the top of our lungs; just as if we were in high school again
And sadly the rest of my weekend consisted of studying and writing a 7 page paper for my religious studies class..blehh :/
